Class A Commercial Driver - Tanker Trailer

Location:  Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and South Dakota

 

Zimmerman Transfer, Inc. is seeking dependable and safety-focused Class A Commercial Drivers to join our team.

Drivers will operate tractor-trailer combinations pulling food-grade tanker trailers and transport dairy products such as milk, cream, and whey.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle with a tanker trailer.

• Transport milk, cream, whey, and other food-grade dairy products.

• Safely load and unload product according to company and customer procedures.

• Perform required pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections.

• Maintain accurate trip, delivery, and transportation records.

• Secure and inspect equipment as required.

• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

• Maintain communication with dispatch and customers as necessary.

• Keep the truck and trailer clean and in good operating condition.

• Provide professional and courteous service to customers, dairy producers, and other personnel.

• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, spills, accidents, or other incidents promptly.

• Perform other duties related to the safe and efficient transportation of dairy products.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

• Acceptable driving record and safety history.

• Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer combination.

• At least 1 year of Class A experience; previous tanker experience preferred.

• Ability to safely handle the physical requirements of the position.

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Commitment to safe driving practices and excellent customer service.

• Must meet all applicable DOT and company qualification requirements.

• Must be available to work on at least one weekend day.

• Must be available to work on Holiday if it falls on scheduled day to work.

Compensation & Benefits

• $70,000-90,000+ average annual income

• Up to $2,000 Safety Bonus per year
